For a long time now, seismic has been the principal method used in the extracting of gas and oil. The logic behind this was the fact that the other options that were available were not well established to do the extraction. Most of that are changing as the technology has paved the way to new methods to be used in the extraction. An example is the gravity geophysical exploration method, which has become popular due to many discoveries being made in its favor. This is due to the efficiency it brings; the way it produces results and the way explores are eager to use this method to extract both gas and oil.
