Over the past year or so, World Wrestling Entertainment has displayed the effectiveness of the Shield. These days, they serve as corporate security guards for the Authority lead by the husband and wife duo of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. However, the Shield may see competition in this regard, seeing as how the Wyatt Family has proven itself in recent times. As far as shifting the Shield and the Wyatts around, I have a couple of things to say because there are reasons why I do and do not favor it.
First of all, take a moment to consider the characters that make up the Wyatt Family. All you have to do is look at the leader, Bray Wyatt, to see that he is not exactly the kind of figure one would associate with corporate security guards. Typically wearing a tropical shirt and a straw fedora hat, he looks more like a horror movie villain from a backwater location than someone a reputable company would hire on for various reasons. This is one of the reasons why I feel like the Wyatt Family may not fit into authorities such as the Protective Group.
On the other hand, maybe this particular shift could prove to be the most effective choice for the Authority. The Shield, in recent times, has not exactly had the most success as far as their matches have been concerned. One can chalk this up to dissension within the group, given the fact that Dean Ambrose is the only champion in this band of three men. With this in mind, the group may not be able to work nearly as well as it would have otherwise.
I do not think that anyone can argue with the fact that the Shield, for quite some time, has seen shaky success these days. The group, in my opinion, has shown that while they were very effective in the beginning, the success train of sorts did not move on without a few hitches in the way. It is tough to watch a group of three men, each of them trained, overpowered by just one person. The Authority, as a result, may think about creating a change in this regard.
I believe that the Authority is going to bring about the strongest forces for the sake of security. While the Shield might have been the best choice initially, the truth of the matter is that the group has faltered quite a bit, meaning that Triple H and company may be looking elsewhere for corporate security guards. As off-putting as the Wyatt Family might appear, they have been strong in their efforts lately. Perhaps this group could prove most effective from a security standpoint.
